Tau - Gundam

I have been meaning to get into the 40k universe for a while and the tau look like awesome models. They reminded me of when I was a kid and watched Gundam, would it be possible to convert a tau army to a Gundam inspired one?

I am not very confident with conversions but I am extremely patient so if I knew the result looked good I would put in the effort. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to what materials would be good and any tutorials, tips and any other gundam-tau inspired armies?

Here\'s a thread about going the other way (Gundam models -> Tau), but might help you with some ideas. You can always use parts from toys and models that are near scale, if you don\'t feel guilty about doing so.

The biggest thing will be color scheme, and adding wings. This guy is almost Gundam already, he just needs some wings and a different weapon.
