Hiya guys, looking for ideas for a major Talos rebuild. I\'ve already started with one or two ideas, now I need some assistance working out the rest of the ideas. Here\'s the beginnings of a plan:
Now, that is what I am doing to the front shell of the beast. The other plan so far is to remove the current claws/implements and replace them with insectile arms with single kinda scything talon-like extensions, sorta like the appendages on the keratis warrior backs. And there will be four on the front instead of two, positioned in such a way to both attack the unfortunates that come into contact with it and to scoop them into it\'s cavernous maw.
The 2 main issues I am having with ideas:
1. How do I design the maw? I have some ideas, like maybe a sandworm type toothed opening, but it will be hard to work with the whole machine/organic interface issue, and there\'s not much space. Or as I have started to draw in the plan, maybe just an iron gob type deal with an opening behind to intern the unfortunates into.
2. How do I rework the tail? I\'ve never liked the Talos tail. To me it doesn\'t represent any sort of wildfiring machina by any stretch of the imagination. Maerlyn has suggested perhaps using chains in a flailing type mass with the guns, or maybe more guns (splinter rifles) attached to the end of such appendages. That will be hard to make look convincing but could look REALLY amazing with the right dynamics. Or, maybe replace the current setup with perhaps a flexible cable array under the current gun system (though modified), and lean it over like it\'s seeking out a target.
