Hi all.
I figure it is time that I actually post something, so here goes.
First up:
I started doing some conversions for Imperial Guard using Cadian and Catachan parts.
The first is a conversion \'kit\' I am working on for my Cadians to make them more like the folks in Jin Roh.
I will eventually mold and cast this when I am finished with all of the detail parts. This will save much sanity...
The next is a Kill Team I am making based on the movie Predator.
First for that is Dutch (Schwarzenegger\'s character)
Here is the next progress:
Here is the latest for Dutch:
Probably the last small update before I finish him. I still have some work to do on the face, but the body is done.
I will post a pre- and post- paint comparison when I have finished him.
Here are a few of the weapon conversions that I am doing for the Team:
Bolter for Dutch and Lasguns for some of the others.
This is the beginnings of the Plasma Gun for Mack. He had a light machine gun in the movie, and I wanted to use a Storm Bolter, but to fit it into the rules I needed to pick something else.
It is based off of the Catachan Flamer and the end of an old Plasma Pistol. I still need to sculpt on the cooling ribs.
Next up:
A redo of Chaplain Lemartes for the Blood Angels.
The knee symbols and the belt buckle are pressmolded off of other figures.
I am not real happy with how they look right now. I did the pressmolds to try and save some time. I may end up resculpting them.
He will eventually also have a jump pack that will be interchangeable with the regular backpack via magnets.
Next:
A redo of Marneus Calgar of the Ultramarines.
I started this one about a year ago. I hope to finish it soon. It will be a gift for a friend of mine.
The heads are interchangeable via magnets. My plan is to make the base in such a way that the unused head can be stored inside it.
Last for now:
I got some decent pictures of the Black Templar marine that I recently finished, so here they are:
I tend to keep black minimally highlighted and it is not showing up real well in these, but everything else is decent.
I made a quickie light box for photos, and it seems to be working fairly well.
The sculpting looks rougher in the pictures than it is.
Comments, questions, and criticism welcome.
I will update as I am able to.
Thanks.
~Eric
