Suggest me miniature painting DVDs and books

So i'm in a small hiatus from my miniature painting while i wait for my new brushes to arrive (1 month and counting. The brazilian postal service is quickly becoming the archnemesis of my hobby). While i wait i've decided to sort of study and research. I'm voraciously reading tutorials on painting and sculpting (which i can do very basically, because i'm also waiting the shipment of my green stuff, so i'm using a inferior brazilian counterpart similar to grey stuff). I have the following DVDs in my humble collection:

P3 Painting DVD (Very basic, but good)
The Painting Wizard's Workshop (His technique is very different from my own, but i found some useful things)
Miniature Mentor (Only the most basic one. It's by far the one that most helped me with my painting)
Painting Miniatures with Jeremie Bounamant (Some really nice stuff here)
MiniWargaming's Terrain DVD (Very basic stuff, not to my tastes because of that)
MiniWargaming's Sculpting DVD (Same as the Terrain one)

So, what books or DVDs you guys think i could buy to add for my miniature painting and sculpting skills?

Hi Tabris,

The DVD from Jeremie has a lot to offer and my suggestion is to start trying some of the techniques showed by him. I have also tried some of the more advanced tutrorials from Minatur mentor and they are also very nice. If i remember correctly i liked the deamon very much. I guess that some of the sculpting turorials from Minatur mentor also is good. I would not buy the first one thou since it only shows a sword and some easy things to do and dont give that much information.

Perhaps if you have a good internet connection a solution is to subscribe to Minature mentor and download all of the available videos and then you dont need the hassle with the postal service.

Myself are thinking to get the dvd from nathalya that is available from coolminiornot shop either as cd or download. http://www.coolminiornot.com/shop/dvds/miniature-painting-secrets-with-natalya.html

Also if you want to look into weathering and veichles for use of pigments you can look at the F.A.Q Vol 1 from MIG.

Hi, I have been searching for tutorials and videos for some time and have suscribed to Miniature Mentor from the beginning. I think MM camera work is better than Alexi Z's, which I own and think is amazing. she definitely has a unique technique. MM's camera work allows you to see the brush strokes and the paint drying. I can't imagine where they placed the camera. MM is expensive for the subscription, they come out approximately every other month or so. Overall I'm satisfied with Alexi Z's dvd as well as MM. If you only want painting videos and not want to pay for sculpturing instructions then I would recommend any of the painting tutorials from MM especially the Deamon and the Nurgle warrior, if you can afford it Alexi Z's technique is different from the painters on MM, not better, I don't want to offend anyone, or debate the issue, these were most helpful to me. I have watched all of them several times and keep seeing something I hadn't noticed before.
Good luck, Matt
