Okay everyone,

Here is the \"submissions\" thread.

- Please post images of your finished piece here!

- Please make sure you started it within the last two weeks.

- Saturday morning I\'ll start the \"voting\" thread. This will be a compiling of all the images from the \"submissions\" thread into one neat post. I\'ll assign each figure a number. At that point everyone can post (in the \"voting\" thread) with their favorite \"number.\" I\'ll tally them up and come monday morning we will have a winner!

Good luck! Can\'t wait to see everyones work! :wow:

Freemason Templar Knight Priest
At first I wanted to find a mini that was unique, and that I wouldn\'t usually pick to paint. It was either an Orc a Chaos conversion I have worked on or the Confessor, I chose the Confessor because he reminds me of the Pope :D

At first I wanted to paint him like the pope, give him a staff and a holy symbol, but the more I thought about it I descided upon a colourscheme that looked a bit like the popes, but with a fantasy twist of the Freemason.

The Freemason shows on the tablet he holds, the text means: This is the way of God, and was the Freemason\'s saying. On the back (bottom picture) I wanted a freehand of the Pyramid with the Eye of God, but not too visible, so I made it pure white with a grey border.

I tried some SE-NMM on the metal and otherwise kept it to bright colors.

His face I did last, as I didn\'t know what expression I wanted. I ended up doing his eyes blank and his eyes baggy, as if he was possessed.

Lastly (sorry for yapping on) the base was based off a picture I found of the Freemason\'s of our days, meeting hall! :)

I really enjoyed this mini and had alot of fun doing it.

Vote here!

Well, here he is folks! :D I realise the photos are not great (jungle background on a snow base), but I hope you can see him. I plan to enter him for Youngbloods this year, as well as pastor\'s competition.
Many thanks to my good friend Iain for letting me use his camera :) Anyway, about the mini... After many hours of drilling, I swapped his piddly little sword for a Kislev Halberd (thanks Mark, thanks also for help with the colour scheme). I kept with the original GW colour scheme, but faded it by adding lots of greys, to look bleached and worn by years of hard Northern weather. I added red tones to his face and skin to make him look ruddy in the cold, and there are no golds-all the metals are silver only :) I attempted some limited, subtle freehand and am quite pelased with how that came out. I kept the colour scheme as simple as possible, and the browns tonally similar: the leaves on the base (thanks Rune and Albert) have branches the same colour as the shaft of his halberd, the bow on his back, his boots and the beavers.
Yes. Beavers. I hope you like them, they are all sculpted. Castor is the Romance language version of beaver, a nice bit of history there :D The base is slate, with real soil and a lot of snow, along with a manky Chaos shield (Kislev are great enemies of Chaos). The blade of the halberd is a tribute to nano of Spanish Team.
I would like to thank some people who have helped along the way: Torstein, Mark, Rune, Albert, Fernando, Banshee, Margo, Hashmallum, Medved, mistamick, everybody who has commented on my past minis, and all my friends on wonderful CMON, and all my friends IRL. And of course thanks to pastor for starting this competition, and good luck to all entrants! Thanks again to Iain, sorry to anyone I forgot :)

I hope you like him :)

~Bill

*Don\'t forget I\'m only 13 :innocent:*

P.S. Penguin, I couldn\'t find a series 7 brush at all. I bought an 18/0 insead.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALLLMOST DONE. Been painting non stop for the last 6 hours or so. Just waiting for some paint to dry and I just have one small bit left to paint. Didn\'t come out as nicely as I had hoped but it\'s not bad. Hopefully I can find another lamp to take photos with since my brother broke one of mine lol. Looks like this is going to be a tight competition, Good Luck everyone.
