stripping

Use acetone only if you want to melt your plastic mini\'s.

Simple Green, un-dilluted, works great. Leave the mini\'s submerged for at least a day, then brush \'em off.

I use brake fluid - though it softens resin pieces but works great for plastics and metals (don\'t leave plastics in too long either).

Simple Green works well too and is a lot safer :)

Not necessarily true. I use acetone to strip plastic minis all the time with no loss of detail. You dont need to soak them, just use a toothbrush dipped in acetone to scrub the paint off. Obviously you will destroy your mini if you soak them.

Nail varnish remover is also quite good - but it\'s not very strong - and I suspect if you leave the part in TOO long it might affect it...

I\'m suprised no-one\'s made any lewd remarks about the thread title yet :p

I wouldn\'t recommend it! Although acetone don\'t melt your plastic right away it doesn\'t take much to damage the mini. It works for resin though, it seems, and metal of course.
