Stripping Paint from Resin?

Are there anything I should know about trying to strip paint from resin? What should I be using to strip the paint?

It will to an extent. I had some thick paint on a bit of resin. I tried Simple Green, heck, I even tried turpentine. It would NOT come off. I finally said \"damn it all\" and scraped it all off with a scalpel.

What ever you do, do not use acetone. Don\'t ask me how I know, because I can\'t tell you. It was so horrible, my mind has erased the memory.

On many types of resin acetone works fine. But, there are lots of different resin types out there and some will be damaged. If you have a scrap piece you can test on to see if acetone works or not you can use it as it\'s a very quick way of stripping it. But, I wouldn\'t let a resin mini soak in it, just pour it over and scrub off the paint with an old tooth brush and rinse it in water afterwards.

I experimented with some white spirit yestoday on resin from forge world. I left it for about 8 hours during the day, then scrubbed with an old toothbrush. Most of the stuff came off easily but there was some left in the crevasesm so i would say another 3-4 hours soaking. It has no effect on the actual resin, but probarbally would if left for too long.
