Stripping one part of a model

the title is rather self-explanitory, but I am curious, or desperate, to know if anyone knows how to strip just one part of a model like the face or some highlighting gone wrong
thanks

For Metal mini\'s the only was to strip a small area for repair is an old paintbrush and some Acetone.
Gently paint the area with the acetone and the Acrylic comes off. Then you can wait about 20 minutes and reprime by brush.

Been There Had To Do That!

A cheaper and safer alternative to acetone is Liquid Polystyrene cement. Not the shit GW sell but the watery stuff you can get in proper model shops. It can be a bit messy but if you\'re careful you should manage it. Had to do exactly that last week!

If the area is reasonably flat, such as a sword blade or a plate of armour you could just scrape the paint off with your knife. Done that on a couple of sword blades when I\'ve cocked them up. Even did it on a cloak!

I did this a month ago. I used brush cleaner to take off a face then fixed. Worked like a charm.

Cheaper? Safer? Don\'t think so. You can buy a couple pints of acetone at the local Home Depot for the price of a bottle of liquid cement at the hobby store. Liquid cement is both a godsend and nasty stuff. That\'s why they put the skull and crossbones warning symbol on the bottle.
