Stripping Glue

I was wondering if anyone has any tips for stripping super glue off minis.
I found some older minis that have a ton of super glue caked around their feet.

Thanks for any help you can provide!;)

Try Acetone or my favorite stripping chemical Methyl Ethyl Keytone - but use the MEK in a well ventalated place cause that stuff stinks to HIGH HEAVEN lol

Acetone should do it (fingernail polish remover in a pinch - same stuff, watered down with coloring & perfume)

Be very careful with MEK. It penetrates the skin barrier. Meaining it will get into your bloodstream just from contact - along with anything disolved in it at the time. (think contact poison).

Personally I use the blade of an x-acto knife and just pry the glue off. Usually comes off in big chunks and leaves a clean surface underneath.

I\'ve had some success with soaking in Simple Green. Of course, that strips paint, too, so if you\'re wanting to keep the paintjob, it\'s probably best to try the x-acto knife method.

I\'ve also had success with Castrol Super Clean. >>WARNING<< This stuff is very caustic, and will eat your hand. Make sure to wear rubber gloves when using it. A soak of an hour or two is generally enough.

I\'ve used the Simple Green on pieces that had greenstuff, and it didn\'t seem to harm it at all; it was a little soft immediately after removing, but recured within a couple of hours. I have not yet tried Super Clean on greenstuff, but I kinda think it will eat it.

I found out about acetone the other day, put a dragon in to clean and when I fished it out it fell apart, got the paint off really well though.

If you\'re stripping the rest of the figure anyway, then paintstripper should do the job, as it turns the superglue soft and sort of rubbery! (ooh er missus). Otherwise, simply flake the stuff off with a sharp knife.
