Storing/transporting paints?

What solutions (without breaking the bank) have people found to store/transport miniature paint/dropper bottle style?

I already have a ton of paint, and will be rcving way too many more in March, so buying a paint 'kit' will not work so well for me. I'm looking at about 100 paint bottles or so.

For storing paints I bought the hobby zone painting rack (http://www.hobbyzone.pl/en/23-large-paint-stand-paint-racks-racks.html). The large version holds 111 vallejo/reaper sized bottles or 81 GW/P3 size bottles. You can also mix and match, so some rows for one size and some for the other. The actual rack is cheap but shipping it can be expensive (at least to the USA). There are other companies that make similar products. I remember seeing companies in Australia and the UK that made nice ones too.

I don't have any great suggestions for transporting the paints. I bought a case from my local art store. It can hold a decent number of paints and has a tray for brushes and other supplies... but it's just an okay solution.

I went down to the local big box hardware store and bought a two drawer desk organizer. It's slightly too small height-wise, but the bottles move about and I can open the drawer. Put little slats of cardboard to keep the rows straight. It's been helpful.

Tackle boxes

I have always sworn by tackle boxes,I used to be in the Navy and I can't paint much at home currently (I have a toddler) so my hobbies have always had to be mobile. For my painting, I currently use an old Plano 7592 (Guide series). It definitely fits everything you need. It came with four of those divided organizers that fit on rails inside, those fit a lot of minis, bits, and supplies, but currently I just use the open space. It cost me about $60 back when I bought it, but I don't think they make this one any more. Check out Plano's site (http://www.planomolding.com) for their current line, Flambeau is another popular brand (http://www.flambeau.com). You can find these at any sporting goods or outdoorsman store (dicks, bass pro, gander mtn, etc), and probably at most big chain stores (walmart, target, etc).

Here are some pictures of mine, it is actually mostly emptied on top as I have work in progress, but you can at least see how much paint it can hold. Those are all 17ml bottles (reaper/vallejo size). It is sitting on a standard size TV tray to give you an indication of overall size.

That sure looks like an effective solution.

I'll have to poke around for similar for a clutter-free 2013!
