Steam Crow's Trench Table

Hi there!

Ever since I saw and pledged for Rivet Wars, I knew that I just had to have a 3d trench table for the game. (Never mind that trenches are just duckboard ditches.)

I started just 12 days ago, and I wanted to share my progress on it, here with you. There are LOTS of photos here, along with some description of what I did.

It's not done; there's a lot to do to keep the thing from being totally monochromatic. It needs some grass, color variation, and lots of detailing. But, it's at a point where I'm no embarrassed.

Here's a brief selection of photos of the progress as it went.

Thanks, guys!

Yeah, I figure that eyeballing it would be easy enough.

With all of the trenches on a grid, it's not too hard. We're gaming for fun, so tournament perfection isn't necessary.

Great looking table. I checked out your blog and saw you where in Phoenix. Then I saw your artwork and remembered seeing it at Crafeteria this year. Good Stuff.

Hey Jayce, don't be intimidated! Your process photos really helped me make my table, and got me inspired - I really appreciate that. I can't wait to see yours finished!

Ted - Thank you! I just NEEDED to do it after seeing the terrific design-work you've done.

Bengo - Yeah, I WAS at Crafeteria this year! (I'm in N. Peoria.) That's cool you recognized my art!
