Starting A Wolfen Army, I have Questions

Hi all, fisrt up bear with me i am a newbie to confrontation but not to gaming in general, been doing 40k for 7 years.

I am starting a wolfen army and I need some questions answered.

Is 300 the standard army size?

For some character the card reperesnts the number of models in the blister. Thus my hunter card represents the two wolfen, however the points listed is 26. Is that 26 representing both or each?

So far I have:

Wolfen Vestal (with the two swords)
wolfen hunters(x2)
wolfen repentant
wolfen with crossbow

what would you recomend?

also what is loyal/1 i cannot find it in my book under the list of abilities. Also does anyone here play in the illinois area?

Welcome to Conf\'!

There is really no \"standard\" size: if you were to, say, enter a tournament, they\'d have to give you the army size. That said, 300 points is quite OK for a good evening game, and is a perfect starting point. You can even have short games with only 200 points so that you can practice.

Regarding the points cost, a single card represents UP TO the number of minis issued in the corresponding blister, and each of the minis\' points cost is that listed on the card. So, each of your wolfen costs 26 points; two of them are 52. The bit about \"up to\" means that you can use one card for each, if you want, so they\'d be different units.

As usual, the army composition is up to you. I\'d add some warriors; they pack more punch than the hunters, and will give you some much needed strength in numbers (you\'ll almost always be outnumbered, wich is a killer in Conf\'). Other than that, possibly at least one Predator to put the fear of Yllia in the hearts of your enemies. From there on it\'s trial and error until you find what you like (since you already have a crossbow). In order to try new troop types, you can always download the cards and use proxies.

Loyal/1 is in Divination, the supplement on Faith. IIRC, a mini with Loyal/X will automatically give a Monk or Warrior Monk X Faith points, instead of the usual amount, which is calculated differently. That\'s it if I\'m not mistaken, since I use the French edition...

As vlrm said, basic warriors are the best choice for a wulfen player. They pack a lot of punch and can smash almost everything into the ground!

The vestal sacréé is a very good choise, her defence and speed can be a very tricky thing for most opponents... ;)
