Well went ot the opening night of Spiderman 3 on Friday.

Worst of the 3 Films........they tried to cram in as many bad guys as possible, and the franchise is starting to turn into the horrid Batman Movies.

I shall give you the film in a nutshell

Start.........Action........Boring........Action.......Boring........Action.......Boring......Down right Stupid.......Action (best bit)...........End

If you like the Spidey films then go and see it just cause it\'s a spiderman film. If you\'re going to see it thinking it\'ll be better than the other 2....Don\'t.

Peter\'s love life was about as jumbled up and hectic as the script...and that ain\'t a good thing.

The whole emo thing was just bollocks aswell.

I suppose it was alright, a good time filler, but I wouldn\'t watch it again.

LOVE IT !

Any action hero movie has to be pretty bad for me not to enjoy it, so I am sorry to say I really enjoyed it .Being one of the older CMONers I go to these types of movies with my kids and i just love the good old fashioned escapism:beer:

Its futile to expect any film to be accurate to a booK or comic, the boys with the dosh want moneyspinners not accuracy, sadly

In over 45 years of watching movies and dramatisations I can only recomend one accurate presentation of a book ........

\"And the Winner is\"(roll of drums)................

Band of Brothers

I read the book a couple of times before it was filmed so when it finally came out I was completely blown away with every episode, almost TOTAL ACCURACY.

GOD bless ....................VINCENTI

Yeah, sad to say I agree about Spiderman. I very much enjoyed it and will likely see it again, but I think they should have dropped one of the villains (likely Sandman, even as cool as he was) and just focused on Venom, Hobgoblin/Harry and the whole internal struggle with good and evil. Instead it felt like three different comic arcs all mixed together.

Still, it was much better than the last X-Men movie and just about any Batman movie except for Batman Begins.

saw it earlier it was well...crap
the guy that plays spider man is to weak an actor to pull off a leading roll
how can a film be sooo bad when the trailers looked soo goooooood

My thoughts exactly. Pure dissapointment. Venom was on screen for full... what, 10 minutes? The hell?! Kirsten Dunst (not calling her MJ) whining about herself for... 1,5 hrs (approx.).
The casting (apart from Topher Grace) was cool...
Oh, and while they\'re deviating from the comics... Aunt May
totally needs to die! That character is giving me the hives, and not in a good way! I mean, it\'s not like the script isn\'t dropping enough avils of morality on our heads.

Weakest of the three. By a wide margin.

It was weak and worst of the three but still better then the last X-men movie, even if i totally loved The Beast. Green Goblin 2 was nice but looked a bit too much like a green ninja on a flying surf board. Sam Rami said the problem with Venom was either he had to into the character but do little with him until a 4th movie was made or try to cram all of Venom into the last 15 minutes to clean up that plot neatly. My really complaint is that every since the first batman movie the trend is to always kill the villian. Hasn\'t been a comic super hero movie that they didn\'t kill the baddy in the end other then the original Superman flicks and the fantastic 4 movie. And even then melting Doom\'s armor so he can\'t get out is pushing the issue.

Uh, Venom isn\'t dead... Remember that Connors has a bit, even if the last squiggly things that waved around after the blast are considered destroyed.

Someone should label this thread title as having spoilers. Heh.

didnt bother me all that much. i already knew from other friends it wasnt going to be as good so i went there expecting a good film not amazing. the story was pretty good considering they fitted three bad guys into one film. the whole bad to the bone peter parker i loved. but not when he was emo, more when he was evil geeky dancing boy. the sandman seemed to be a very flat dead pan character and i DID NOT like him in it. considering the fact that flint marko should and is considered to be a powerful antihero with more than \"i smash i get you spidey\" i was a bit upset. and yes venom was that cool!!! if you go there looking for a story as well done and written as the first two films you will not get it. but if you go to enjoy a great film with a summer buzz then go see it.

honestly i am a big comic fan and i was not upset with it at all. i expected a decent film and got a great one. just not amazing. :)

two more excellent films adapted from great books.....
Silence of the Lambs and the Godfather ( plus the 1/2 of Godfather II which was in the original Godfather novel ).

It\'s making a sh*tload of money already....

$148m for a non-holiday opening weekend !

The coin clearly doesn\'t measure the quality. Witness POTC:DMC.

I enjoyed it, but MOSTLY because I saw it at a 9pm Saturday showing in an urban area. The crowd was really into it.

As a movie, it was another misguided, too many villains effort. Every time one of my favorite comic characters shows up in one of these movies, I look at it as an OPPORTUNITY for something great to happen. It happened with Christian Bale in Batman Begins. It almost happened with a few of the Xmen, but not quite. It would be great if it happens with the Silver Surfer, but I have my doubts.

This was a wasted opportunity. What made the first two Spideys so good was that you never felt like the opportunity was wasted. Green Goblin and Doc Ock were not squandered. Sandman was ok. 2nd coming of the Goblin was retarded.

Venom, however, was wasted. That\'s a cryin\' shame. He should have been held out for the 4th flick.
Spidey\'s method for defeating him was inventive and well staged, but it wasn\'t enough.

The second movie showed that ONE really good villain can carry the movie !

Where\'s Mysterio when you need him ?
Cast Bruce Campbell and have his goofy cameos in the first 3 movies all be MYSTERIO......

Now, suddenly, Ang Lee\'s Hulk looks a little better....and that is NOT a good thing.

I have high hopes for the remake of the Hulk, the next Batman/Joker and especially for IRON MAN.

I\'m also a big fan of acting and actors.
James Cromwell was wasted.
Bryce Dallas Howard was wasted.
JK Simmons was wasted.
The Harry Osborn character was betrayed.
Topher Grace was actually pretty good.
Ditto Thomas Haden Church.
Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst didn\'t show me anything new or interesting.

Aunt May and Uncle Ben really need to go....

i liked it, and i thought the \"on bad-guy \" plot was better than the second one. this one was funny too. i nearly died laughing when he went all emo/funk.

Oh?

Batman Returns - Catwoman lives.
Batman Forever - Riddler lives
Batman and Robin - Freeze lives (maybe Ivy too, been a long time since I saw it!)
Batman Begins - Scarecrow lives
Superman Returns - Luthor lives
X-Men - Magneto always lives
Daredevil - Kingpin and Bullseye live

Etc etc etc

And Doom can be clearly seen in the trailer for FF:RoTSS, so don\'t worry about him. :)

batman returns: the movie sucked anyway.
batman forever: repeat of suckiness.
batman and robin: suckiest of suckiest!
batman begins: got me there.
superman returns: his son is badder to the bone than superman. suckey again.
x-men: magneto is not necessarily a \"bad guy\"... he falls under the antihero genre.
daredevil: yet again a horrible choice for the kingpin. he was flippin italian! not gangsta. so they didnt kill him just out of spite.

so you may notice foley that the major reason why these characters lived with the exception of batman begins was the amount of succkiness that happened in the film.

i am totally only putting my ideas based upon sucky nature so feel free to debase them. :)lol

None of them suck as much as the Transformers movie will.

Lips on Prime! Flames on Prime! Elrond is Megatron! Starscream\'s only in it for 5 minutes!
