After a while of painting armies I needed a break, so I decided to paint any model I liked no matter what it was. So I went for the cheapest model I could get that I liked which turned out to be an eldar warlock.

Started off with the rodes see that they are the biggest part of the model and the part I hate the most. But to get me thou it I chose a colour that I love painting.

Next Part I went on to was the wriathbone chest plate. This was done by working layers up from Breastial Brown->Snakebite leather->Skull white.

I think I may go and paint the helmet next once Ive worked out what I am going to do with it.

Looks like the photo has had the \"watercolour\" effect done to it :p
Looking good so far though :)
Are you gonna shove some freehand on those robes?

Iam not the greatest at freehand but I am going to give it a try. I want to get everything else done on it before I take the plunge.

I\'d suggest starting with something simple then...maybe just an easy pattern along the hem of the robe....With all those folds in that robe, even a straight line will be tough.

Looking good, keep at it!

This is exactly what i did! Didnt want to paint models for my army anymore so bought an eldar warlock off ebay for £0.99 and painted it to what colours i wanted to at the time!

It\'s a great way to take a break and do something different as well as try new techniques..So Far the results are great..

Freehand is one of those things to eventually just take the plunge with.
As mentioned earlier start with something simple.

The robes on this model are great for doing nice simple designs.
good luck and keep up the good work..
