Hi everyone. I\'ve been wanting to become involved in the forum discussion here and I figure this is a good way to jump in. This fig was commissioned in 2007 for a larger trollblood force which you can find in my gallery. And I\'ve got more trollbloods to post coming up.

I was aiming to match the book/card art, which is a challenge I really enjoy. Deviated a bit when I added the red glow on the throat, which was inspired by the PP studio figure.

C&C welcome. Thanks!

The minis itself is aces! But, the grass shows nothing in the way of the light from the fire itself and sort of murders the overall effect. maybe drybrush some orange on the grass?

Well, to be honest I think I thought the grass was beyond the range of the light. Note the feet have no OSL. Anyhow, definitely something to consider in the future. And you\'re right, I\'ve pushed the OSL effect larger than life already, it may have looked better to extend it to the base. Thanks!

Very nice! I think the OSL effect works pretty well as it is. If the troll is standing in daylight the effect wouldn\'t be noticed as far away from the light sources as it would blend in with the daylight.

Ack you stole my idea and did it better than I can! :)

That\'s a beautiful piece you have there... really nice work. I\'ll be using yours as a model when it comes time to paint mine. After all, imitation is the sensirest form of flatery... and in this case I mean it.:)

I love it. Not sure how a troll that spews fire will be able to regenerate but hey thats what fantasy is all about. Did the vote thing.
