hi folks!
i want to try my hand at something slightly harder than painting the shoulder pads of joe bolter marines: source lighting. although my friends say that i´m an idiot for trying, i bloody well won´t give up. i am into w40k exactly since the day the black templar army box came out, but i think my A- in the advanced art class (or what ever that is called in english^^) should help a bit. i have some experience with drybrushing, highlighting/shading and a bit of layering, so i´ll propably understand what you are talking about.
i have done a quick mock-up of how i think source-lighting should work, you can find the pictures here, under W40k -> Test: http://photobucket.com/albums/f320/P3nDr4gon/
it would be really nice if someone could link me a step-by-step guide, because looking at pictures is interesting, but not too helpful. apart from that, i´m glad about every pointer or comment you give, so post away!
thanks
