Soul Drinkers omnibus?

Didn\'t know if this should be in the 40K forum or not, so move it if you like. I figured there might be people who like sci-fi that aren\'t specific fans of 40K, though, and I\'m hoping to get their opinions as well.

I saw the Soul Drinkers omnibus by Ben Counter in the bookstore today. It was a good price, and I got a 40% off coupon, but I want to make sure its halfway decent before I sink money into it.

Any comments?

If you like lightweight sci-fi, it\'s a pretty good read - I was hooked after the first book

Yeah, its quite good, especially the first couple of books. I\'ve yet to be blown away by any GW fiction, but as pure escapism for a few hours the Soul Drinkers books are amongst the better GW stuff.

I read the souldrinkers compendium, it\'s better than most 40K fiction. I liked it better than the space wolf stuff it\'s up there with the Horus Heresy books. I read some 40K fiction occasionally. In general, I rationalize it as \"junkfood\" for the brain: safe in moderation.

I have to say, the nerdiest answer i have read! Great!

I have not read any gw books, im all about fantasy so i wouldnt know...
