Who is the painting of FireStryke? I get the stars & stripes & eagle symbology, part of the sword is a microphone, no idea about the arrows, flaming blade or the stomach armour design. Are the blades on the bracer supposed to evoke the Statue Of Liberty?

A ghastly painting but I still want to know why it was painted

It's a TV Personality/Comedian called Steve Colbert.
Never seen the show, can't say I really want to.

The show is pretty funny, like Rush Linbia <sp> that isn't taking itself so seriously.
I think that the design on the belly plate is a olive branch and the arrows represent the 13 Colonies of the US. See the Seal of the United States of America. Eagle with 13 arrows, olive branch with 13 leaves and 13 berries, 13 stripes, and 13 stars. As for the bracers your idea sounds good to me.....

The flaming sword is the true that lights the way.?.

Thanks guys :good: He broadcasts back to back with John Stewart on Comedy Central, yes? We get The Daily Show over here but I've not noticed The Colbert Report in the free-to-air listings.

Colbert is hilarious. He is over the top egotistical, but it's all for comedy effect. It's a fantastic show, and I'm sad to say is becoming one of my news outlets....

The Colbert Report, The Daily Show and the occasional snippet from the internet are basically my only news sources. Stephen Colbert takes the right-wing view and exaggerates it until it becomes a parody of itself. Sometimes, it doesn't take much exaggerating.
