a few thing sitting on my desk at the moment...

wolfguard 1 is in the very first stage on paint...more an experimental stage right now.

the second one is near completion and i wanted it to have that bright color pop, but not sure if i succeeded hopefully so, it has a little paint scratching also to be touched up, an incident that happens frequently, falling.

here are some more, miscellaneous boredom works that i am attempting... the stormblade was actually originally going to be for a death korps army but that fell through, its extremely hard to actually get forgeworld products when you are located in the USA.

Hello "The kid"

Well... I will pick only two things. First I like the blue grid you have painted. But I dont know if it is the photo, or you have painted it so. It seems blurred. I know you want, that it look like it fades away, but the edges between the single colors should be sharp.

Second: NMM/SENMM
Your bledings, are fair enough for NMM. But the light theorie of, where something reflect something other is not correct. Ecspacially the shield (4th foto of the first post). Once again a tut in german. But, the pictures are rather informativ, i think: http://www.maxpaint.de/forum/kb-nuetzliches-wissen/7458-tutorial-senmm-besser-verstehen.html

Additionaly NMM lives from the contrast of techniques. a smooth blending for the metal colors and a hard almost white or white highlight for the light reflection. This hard highlight I am missing in your NMM.

Hope I could help.

Greetings, Taggi

Ooh, now that was one of the nicer reference threads I've seen! I've been looking for something that's not just basic shapes!

yes i do have trouble with the reflecting idea of NMM, the transitions in color are a lot better in person the shots are pretty bad, but the first one as i said is still in the first stage of painting, i do plan to make a more drastic increase in the highlight color to make the two colors stand out, plus battle wear and chipping will be done to bring out realism.'
