Thanks :D I\'ve been wanting to join up for a while now, but lack of a camera to image all these lil guys has kept me on the sidelines (well, on the sidelines and painting, that is)

The templare looks unfinished. The cloak needs shading like you did Boris\'s. The grey in the helm area looks like unfinished/unprimed gw grey plastic. (It may well not be, but it looks like it.)

Boris is a big step forward. The cloak is shaded. I\'m guessing you found a bottle of Vellajo \"Smoke\" or GW \"Flesh Wash\"? It is still a big step forward. The eyes need a bit of work on him still (he looks scared).

The dragon is your best. Granted, animals are a bit easier (just a bit) because we don\'t have a mental map of how the face has to be or appear wrong. But, the dragon is shaded better than Boris. The eye still needs a larger pupil (IMO). I like the chest scales and the horns.

Don\'t fret that you photo work is not top notch. Many here take a while to get the hang of it. When I saw my own first posted mini sitting on my screen at nearly 1000% I would have sworn it was not my hard work there, but one of my kids maybe.

Post wip\'s in that area and I expect to see great things from you in the near future.

Thanks all for the kind words and advice, it is much appreciated.

My current submissions are a bit of a jumble - all of pictures in my gallery are of peices that I had completed before I joined, so they span a long period of time, as much as two years between some of them.

I\'ve got about five or six more past peices that I am going to add, then it will be new peices as I finish them.

The dragon really stands out as the best piece. Plenty of contrast in the highlighting.

It\'s what the smaller figures lack - you could almost go back to them (especially the Rackham piece) and add another layer or two of highlighting to them. Might be worth a go to see what difference it makes to your score..... :)
