Some Rackham paint jobs

So just before Xmas I went a little mad and spent £200 on Rackham miniatures wanted to paint at least a few before they went prepainted.

So over the week I put paint to the first 2 Darkness hunter and Phidias both are near done bar the odd touch up on the bases tho think I give the hunter one to many coats of matt as its looking more like a gloss coat :(.

Wanted a real dark looking hunter bar the matt glossing up think he turned out well but out of the two think Phidias turned out the best.

Apart from the swirls on the inside of the cloak of the Darkness Hunter, I really like \'em both! :D

They look great to me. I prefer the second one as the base has much more character and the face looks awesome.

The glossy effect you mention doesn\'t seem to bad from the photos but I agree with DaN about the swirls. Maybe the red takes away from the dark atmosphere of the model...possibly a different colour would fit better.

But they look good to me anyway.

Two more Rackham on the go think the armor came out real nice was going for weathered copper seeing as I used a few shads of gray along with brown green and blue washes. Very happy with how it came out.

Hi ziemek welcome to the boards the darkness hunter coat started with a mix of Games workshop scorched brown/chaos back 50/50 mix then mixed in bestial brown for part of the highlight and I think I ended at snakebite leather.
