Some quick questions from a newbie after first playthrough.

Hi all.

I have a couple of questions after I played the Zombicide: Black Plague Tutorial.

1. Is it possible for some of the zombies not to move during their phase, when they are for example inside a closed room?

2. Do you place a noise token when you miss/fail to open a door?

3. What are the skull dice used for?

Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it!

1. I had that confusion too from the tutorial mission, i think it is possible for them to miss a turn, there's no rules for them breaking down doors and iirc there's zombies in that mission trapped in rooms until you open the doors so they can't actually do anything. Also it seems to be a bit of an oddity because isn't remember any other cases of a situation like that in the few main missions i played.

2. I believe so, the noise is made when taking the action regardless of if it's successful or not (imagine trying to break a door down but the first hit doesn't break it, the impact would still make a noise)

3. I believe the skull dice just replace the one and the six with pictures instead of they're the same as the ones that came in the KS, I'm not sure which picture is which though but i think zombie head = 1

You are correct. Everyone of their KS's have these type of dice and I give them to my little monster to play with as I have no clue which picture is supposed to be a 6 or a 1... maybe I should game with them and randomly change what the picture represents depending on the score I need.

If you are talking about the dice with the zombie and the Molotov on them I am fairly confident that the zombie is intended to represent the 1 as a failure. While the Molotov (strongest weapon in the game) reflects your critical success in rolling a 6. As for question number 1 if you have zombies in a building they would try to mover towards noise as if the doors were open. Once they reach the room with the door they obviously couldn't advance further so they would be stuck. I provided a quote from the rule book below that explains this behavior.

"- If they can’t see anybody and there are no open paths to the Survivors, they move toward the noisiest Zone as if all doors were open, though locked doors still stop them."
4th bullet under movement from section # 7 Zombies' phase. Page 12 of the Zombicide rule book.
