How does the skill Strong Will work? As i understand it u gain one (+1) reroll for a will power attack right?
How does the resonate skill of the deepman work? Do i have the chance to roll a will check for every enemy which is in contact with me or advances in contact?
what is the difference between a combined attack and assit? As i understand it the combined gives you more dice and the assist modify's your roll one up right?

I still have problems to determinate which skill is passiv and which skill i have to activate. Can someone explain that to me?
And i also have problems in understanding when i get an extra die or when my roll is modified...

Thank you very much.

Strong Will: When this model makes a Will Check or is the target of a Will Attack, it gains re-roll(+1).

You get to re-roll one of the dice when making a will check or when the model is the target of a will attack.

Aegis of the Deep: When an enemy engages this model, or begins its activation engaged with this model, this model may make a Will Check(1). On 1 or more successes, the enemy gains Resonate

Every enemy in contact with the Deepman when he activates, or every enemy that engages the Deepman.

Combined attacks are special attacks that can only be performed by two or more models in a Combined Activation. These attacks function much the same way as an individual Ranged or Melee attack, with the exception that two or more models are pooling their attacks together (usually in hopes of overcoming a high Resilience enemy!).

Name: Assist
Type: Special
Rating: 0
Range: 00
Special Rules: Select a friendly model that this model is in contact with that is performing a melee attack. Give that attack (+1) rate.

Combined attacks let's you pool your attack dice (melee only, on the same model). Assists give a friendly model that the model is in contact with +1 rate to their melee attack (i.e. another die, not a modification). Rate is how many dice you roll. Dice modification will come from abilities like: "Replace X on the defender's chart with Y"; or "adjust the result of (x) dice".

Attack/Special Actions: All models will have 1 or more Attacks. Some might even have a number of special actions they can perform during their activation. For more information see the “Activations” section, PG. 10.

Special Abilities: These are the various unique effects and powers a model may have. Each one will give specific definitions and instructions on its use

Special abilities that you have to activate will be in the Action portion of the stat card (on the back, right below the types with the others actions). Abilities that are passive are in the special ability section below that.

Thanks alot. I have understood a lot more now. But i Still don t get the difference between an Assist and an Combined Attack.
In both cases you get extra dice. Where is the benefit of making an assist and where is the benefit of making an combined attack.
Thanks again.

The benefit of a combined attack is all abilities for all the attacking models are applied to the pool of dice.

Sometimes you can't get a model into contact with an enemy (not enough move, or it's already surrounded). In those cases, you might as well assist rather than waste an action.

Ok Thanks EvilDave. So in the combinded attack rules also states that the dice are allocated to one target. Does that mean that a attacking minature can allcocate assist dice to different enemies? I also assume that when you make a attack with assit dice only the abilities of the attacking modell applies right?

When you assist it increases a model's melee attack's rate. Those dice can be assigned to any target in range. However, if you're doing a combined attack then all the attack dice are assigned to the same model. You wouldn't be able to assist a model taking part in a combined attack and assign that die to another enemy.

Yes, only the abilities of the attacking model are applied. There are exceptions though, notably the Teknes Warsmiths that are coming out.

another thing is that when a model assists they are not making an attack. with a combined attack all the models are attacking.
