Some equipment advice needed

Hello to all. Haven't been around on these boards for a very long time after giving up painting for a while. But now I'd like to jump back into the hobby.

As I sold all of my old brushes and paints to a friend, I need to start again. I'm wondering if you guys and girls can point me to some reputable online retailers of said equipment? I'm based in the UK so stores over here would be best.

I would go to GW but to be honest I used to find their stuff very cheap and/or very hit and miss.

Generally très expensive too, so best to avoid on that basis anyway!
