they are ok for field standard. how far do you want to push yourself? you can thing your paints more. this will allow you to build up layers of highlight and shade more smoothly

is your camera flash on? the pictures seem pretty washed out so its difficult to give good criticism when the models themselves are difficult to see

yeah the flash was on, i dont have a decent lamp and being a poor student means i cant really afford that good a one for a while.

I have been told many times i need to thin my paint more, and do more layers in my highlights, but i usually get impatient.

On another note, I have a guard army that has 6 squads of kasrkin in it (3 squads of storm troopers, 3 squads of veterans with Grenadiers doctrines). I don't mind too much the repition in the basic kasrkin, however I don't really like having six sergeants all looking the same. I've converted one, and am in the process of converting another, but I have very few ideas on what to do with two others (I've already painted two, so I don't really want to repiant one if I can help it!). Any suggestions?
