So its Xmas soon and I fancy making a winter army..... little advice needed please.

Hi guys,

So winter is coming and I am in the mood to do a nice winter army.

I have decided to do goblins.

So I have a few things I could use some help with if you dont mind,

The bases, I found some nice ideas on doing snow, but is there an easy way to make an Ice effect on the base, ice thats cracked ?

Also what colour should I paint my goblin robes between White or Red ?

I really fancy a different colour to the normal black and white could be fun as snowy goblins but that might clash abit with the bases do you think ?

snow? go to the model airplane shop and get some microballoons.

cracked ice? swing by the local home depot/lowes - get a cracked ice cover for the commercial flourescent lights. Turn it over so it is smooth on top, texture on bottom. Paint bases white/blue/grey, lay on circle of plastic. Bob\'s your uncle.

Gonna take a dremmel or a hole saw to cut some plugs out of it to put on your bases.

say a good one for ice with airbubbles trapped above the water. paint the base appropriately and then drizzle some pva on it (make sure areas aren\'t covered then slap on some clear plastic . you can then \'frost-up\' the top with normal snow effects to tie it in with the base
