Ok I\'ve been looking around for some models that I want, and hell I can\'t find them so I\'m gonna try my hand at sculpting.... hmmmm.

I have no idea what to do so does anyone have any words of wisdom or tips?

I\'ve tried to blag a rather talented sculptor into doing it but he has too much on his plate to sculpt me a mini at the mo! I wouldn\'t be doing this unless I was completely devoid of all other ideas!

I second that.

My sculpting attempts up to now are
1) Strongbad, who looks more like Strongsculptedbadly. Sakura\'s looks pretty cool.
2) The Blob.

OK, now here are some tipps. Note that I only read it and have not yet put it to real practice.

1. Begin with a wire skeleton.
2. Add the tiniest amount of putty to it to give the later layers something to grab onto.
3. Sculpt the legs, then the torso, then the arms. Don\'t define the muscles too much or will end up with a bulky barbarian type.
4. Add clothing.
5. Sculpt the face.
6. Sculpt the hair.
Also: Constantly smooth out the GS using something ball-like in rotating motions. Your tools should be wet for this.

Now that\'s helpful, isn\'t it? :D

Check out paintingclinic.com In the \"clinic\" section there\'s a pretty detailed article on sculpting.

It might help, at least it makes it sound like it\'s actually possible to sculpt something ;)

A very good ressource in my opinion are the tutorials at Lyonstudio: http://lyonstudio.com/Sculpting/SculptingIndex.htm

Maybe this will be helpful :)
