Does anyone have any idea how to sculpt smoke or clouds on a model. I\'ve thought about using foam gap filler but am not sure if this will work

Well, I used cotton wool:

The \"Flames of War\" guys use it too, for vehicle dust:

NSA is that your mini. I love it. At our club we use steel wool because it last a bit longer. We use it for smoke makers and detroyed vehicle etc.

The Patrol Steamer (like NSA mentioned, is probably among the best)

But NSAs works extremely well.

Thank you for your responses. I’ve toyed with the idea of using cotton wool or steel wool to represent for the smoke/clouds but I want model to be floating above a base on the smoke so I am not sure if it will work. I will have a look at how others have sculpted billowing smoke with sponge as that sounds interesting. Has anyone else got any ideas how it could be sculpted, has anyone tried green stuff?

I believe the \"Casualty of Waaaaagh\" (#101832) duel posted above is sculpted from some sort of solid putty. Maybe green stuff, maybe something like Sculpey.

How about a sturdy pin right down the middle of the fluff? It will be well hidden too.
