Size Problems-Pleaze Help

Hi I\'m new here and I\'m trying to submit 1 picture that includes 4 small pics of Boromir, but the size comes out to over 900kb!! I\'ve looked on the site and many of the pics are even bigger than mine, so how can I make it be smaller?? Thanks for any help :)

I used Microsoft Photo Editor (the one that comes with my PC....no expensive software here..) - copy image there and do a 100% view of the size first (this is what the actual size of yr pic) , after which u can do a Image - Resize reducing it by maybe 40 - 50% (depending the size of yr pic.

Try it and tell me how it comes out...to Isengard !!

What format is your image?

Usually, JPG files are of very manageable size, whit good compression and good amount of detail. The same pic, on BMP format can easily take up to 5 times the size than a JPG.

With my images, once I\'ve finished scanning them in I resize them. I just reduce the width of the picture to no more than the advised 600 pixels (usually about 400 pixels wide) and reduce the image resolution to about 96 pixels due anything higher being wasted on the net.
