I was going to post and say \"Hey, this is CMON not your SMS buddy list\", but under the circumstances some bad typing can probably be forgiven ;)

So you decided, instead, to say \"Hey, this is CMON not your SMS buddy list\".

:D

Poor Luch....that\'s why I\'m not into skiing or snowboarding so much...I\'ve seen too many friends wreck knees/shoulders/collar bones. Just about any bone imaginable, really.

Good luck with some quick healing. I\'m just now finally recovering from spraining my brush hand below the thumb while boarding a while back, so I can definitely sympathize. Trying to establish ambidexterity during recovery wasn\'t an option either, because soon after sustaining the injury, I fractured the base-joint knuckle of the other thumb while at a concert...

Luckily, both of them are doing well again after a couple of re-aggravations apiece, and I hope I still have enough time left before GamesDay LA to finish the projects I want to enter!

And Nelson: it is dangerous, sure... but So. Much. Fun! After my first day out riding, all I could think was to mentally kick myself for not having started earlier in life.

Sorry to hear it, Luch ... Believe me, I know exactly how you must feel -- been through the same thing. Yet there\'s something that might cheer you up a little: after my arm healed, I started painting much better than I used to before breaking it! :D
Get well soon.

oh.. really? Then maybe I should break my arm too.. (that would indeed put pain back into painting)

There\'s hope for me then, now... how to break my arm?

You\'ll have to do something to keep the passion, LUCH. Go and buy yourself another mini or three to take the misery away. And when you\'re healed up, make those brushes cry in pain. :)

One of the Perry twins (can\'t remember which one) sculpts with one arm missing!

He lost it in one of those silly \'historical recreation\' societies (Sealed knot- English civil war) black powder explosion.

So count your blessings, and don\'t scratch it with a knitting needle ;) You will get better and a break from painting often makes you a better painter...

I broke my arm once. Found it the perfect time to learn to play left-handed tennis. Now I always play left-handed tennis (and right-handed racquetball).

an idea if you cant paint, and you can still use your hand, you could prep things for painting. ie for 40k and such go ahead and glue things together. prime/basecoat something. sorta that box of bitz that has been needing it. clean and dust your workspace/pallette so when you can paint there isnt any exces \"stuff\" in your way.

clean your tools...pliers, etc. from any glue or such that may have built up on them.

practice with your other arm to paint with it. your cast would make a great canvas. :D
