Shopping for Large Scale Figures

Hello all! I'm thinking of getting into painting more larger scale figures that the 28mm I've been working on lately. I'm curious of where do you normally go for such things? I'm mostly into the Sci-Fi/Fantasy genre. Is there a particular website any of you have for your go-to? I have found El Greco; they seem to have a good selection at decent prices compared to the manufacturer sites, albeit being Europe-based while I'm in America. Are there any other hidden gems out there on the Net I have not discovered?

hard to say. For Large-scale figures I use 2 e-shops (elGreco and figone) plus I order from the manufacturers directly (nocturna, fer, pedro-fernandez, nutsplanet, scale75, ...) .
Partly because of location (quite a lot of them are Eu based --> low shipping, no import cost) partly because the postage is not that bad for these figures ( from Japan/HK/China postage is about 10USD (no idea how they do it, if I want to ship something to Asia it costs 16Euro, 40-80 to the US))


For the US I'd say check out the scale75.com (US part of the scale company) they have a good selection of steampunk, fantasy and busts (and are running a KS now for sci-fi busts), probably same for Andrea Miniatures.
Other than that you can look at thewarstore/miniature market. I've seen larger scale figures at both, but no idea if they are doing that still.

Fluisterwood: Sorry you had trouble with your previous posting, I know that can be supremely annoying. I appreciate you taking the time to respond, though. And I also appreciate all those stores you suggested. I will most definitely be checking them out!

Everything MAXXxxx said, but a caveat Andrea have improved the fit of a lot of their more recent figures BUT, some of the older kits need WORK to get a good fit.

To kind of echo what has already been said... Scale75, Andrea, Ares Mythologic/Draconnia, War Griffon Miniatures, Nuts Planet, Galapagos, Kabuki, Enigma (now OOP), Scibor, amongst others, all have excellent larger scale models. As for places to buy, El Greco is one of the best/most complete and reasonably priced site I have used. Also, you can sometimes find some gems on Ebay. Check out Dzur's Treasures and LotsofModels on ebay...they have so much stuff!!

Scale 75 has had some controversy about copyright violation. They had to remove a very popular bust from their Naughty Gears Kickstarter because they had stolen the image it was based on and were using it without permission. It is not the only time they have been caught using copyrighted images without permission.
