Sherlock Holmes sculpt by MIKH

I'm really pleased to show the second model from my new mini company.

Sherlock Holmes (an evil, crime committing rather than solving version of the character) sculpted by the rather awesome MIKH.

It's truly mind blowing to see this level of sculpting up close, so I hope everyone else finds it at least half as exciting as I do. :D

Hey Mike! He's up on the Infamy site to pre-order now - http://www.infamyminiatures.com/shop/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=51

He will ship end of May/start of June. If you want to put in an order I won't take the PayPal until just before I ship the model.

Basically, I have a batch of casts in my grubby mitts already (33 of them to be exact) so I have quality checked them and all is looking good. My caster is busy getting the rest done and once I have them together and the studio paint job is finished (being worked on now by another painter in the top 20 of CMoN) I can make the limited cards and get them all boxed up and sent out. :D

I still don't get why you don't paint them yourself, you have the skill! His left hand is what steals the show for me, incredible

I will paint him too. In fact I plan on painting a few! As far as skills go on single minis though, I recognise that I'm a solid 7.5 painter with the capability to get into the 8s if I put in the time and higher if I ever really lock in and focus. But, I don't really have that time to spare with some of the crazy commission projects I also have going on.

Holmes holds a particular soft spot for me in the range, because it was the idea for him that kicked off the development of Infamy as a whole. He was the spark behind it all. So, in getting one of my absolute favourite painters to do a great job on him means I get a cool little gift in the process. A sparkly, pretty, probably 9+ Holmes on my shelf. :)

I agree about the face, hand and all sorts of other details too. Through the sculpting I could see MIKH was doing an amazing job on Holmes, but it was only when the master arrived in the post that it truly struck home - the head is just 4mm tall. Mind blowing that he can work in such refined details on such a tiny space.

Edit - Just noticed that the registered votes mark is somewhat low. I find that rather surprising considering the quality of the sculpt, but perhaps it's just a few snipe happy folks having some fun.

I'm trying to build up my following on the Infamy facebook page - http://www.facebook.com/infamyminis

If you help me get to 150 likes by the time Sherlock comes out, I'll randomly select someone from my 'likers' to get a free model.

Also, I update the facebook page with cool info and sneak peeks of upcoming minis, so it's worth it anyway. :)
