My package for my golden demon entry arrived today and amoung the things I ordered was a pair of clippers. I have had a pair before and only needed a new pair because they went blunt. I don\'t want this to happen to my new pair any time soon, so does any one know how to prevent/ repair blunted clippers? Thanks

i know you can sharpen scissors by snipping them across a glass bottleneck. not sure if it works on clippers though

Try an Oilstone / Whetstone / Slipstone.
or look for Diamond Sharpening stones in any good woodworking magazine.

However the pincers (if GW\'s) will not be able to hold a sharp edge for a long time given the material they are made from. (Cheep & Cheerful)

Could you post a link to a pic of the specific type?

More than likely you won\'t be able to sharpen these much, or at all, and if they\'re so-so quality the steel isn\'t that hard anyway so even if you could sharpen them they won\'t hold an edge well.

What do you use your clippers for incidentally (i.e. what materials are you clipping/snipping)?

Games Workshop clippers for plastic and thin pewter parts. I am not stupid enough to use such fragile things on thick metal I know, thats where I use my more heavy duty stuff.. But I wouldn\'t expect them to cack up so easily either.
