yeah, my collection thusfar... always up for opinions...
especially since the figs i tend to like the most, get the lower ratings around here...
but i blame the pictures for that (alot of the subtle shading seems to get lost... or the blending just looks like arse on the screen...)

Ok I\'ve looked at your gallery and I would like to know if you mean that the figures you are refereing to are in your own gallery or belonging to someone else\'s?
If they are your own can you identify which ones and we can discuss them more readily.

Some of your pictures seem very dark and poorly lit. This will destroy the image quailty no matter how you try to \"tweek\" them in PhotoShop.

Your photos are going to hurt your score. Make the pictures bigger you can go 600 pixels wide and 100k size picture. Try retaking a photo of one of the minis and make it a better shot as well as larger and see the difference to your score.

sigh...

yeah... at this point i\'m running 3 white lamps (the same ones I use for painting) when i snap the pics... and yet... still problems...

all the celts ones were taken in natural light (upstairs, just sunlight) and they oft come out a little better...

as for the favorites... i\'m mostly talkin about my own...
which, as it turns out, touching up the pics of \'em (upped gama, contrast, saturation) seems to be getting them better votes on all but the elf ranger...
tho, it still baffles me that the over-simplified ones (like the crisis sut, choir boy, and the glade guard...) somehow score higher than the ones i put shading work into...

as for bigger photos...

with the camera i have, any bigger than the 400 range and they get all pixelated (the base image puts them about that size...)

it kills me really, \'cause it\'s a what, 28mm mini, and stands almost thrice that on the screen.... even with the human manual zoom, you don\'t see that kinda magnificaiton... and i certainly don\'t paint at that level...
which is prolly why i\'ll never really measure up against the competition level people... but whatever, i couldn\'t take myself seriously if i was at that level...
