A Shael Han Legionnaire gets shieldbashed against another legionnair. The stopping model suffers a one die melee attack.
This die generates a backlash because of the defensive insight of the Taeflon.

Who suffers the Backlash?
The knockbackes Legionnair?
Or the pelegarth?
Or nobody?

And please explain your answer .

Thank you.

P.S. i played this game a lot in the last few weeks and i love it has so many stratigic levels but sometime the rules make me crazy......

Nobody was the attacker, the stopping model just suffers the attack. That (or the fact the you don't have to choose that insight) means nobody suffers backlash.

Are we sure on this answer? Was it answered somewhere else by a rules authority? (No offense Dave, I totally agree with you, I just want to be able to prove this ruling; it would totally change the game for me)

For someone with a lot of Pelegarths, this changes things quite a bit for me. I can now have my horde smash up against his horde and use Knockback without fear of killing myself on a Backlash. Suffering attacks on both your own activation and the enemy activation consistently sucks.
