Well this is my first post on CMON. I have been a little nervous to post here since most of the other painters are quite a bit better than me. But what the heck! Let's see what you all have to say. Good and bad. I want to improve. So here we go.
I painted up Ser Gregor here last month as a mini-exchange with Field Archy down in TX. She really liked and I really pushed my self on this piece. I know he can be better. Thanks for looking!

That's a nice mini. Maybe you could make the blending a bit smoother, especially on the shield, and maybe some more little highlights on the metals could be good. The base also looks a bit poor, add something like a broken arrow, a helmet or a rock to make it better, let your imagination work.

If I still had him in my possession I would certainly do those things. He is in Texas now though. Thanks for the advice!

Very nice looking. I don't think you have anything to be nervous about....that's a very fine mini to start off with here.

I'm not sure about the 'mono-brow' look, but maybe that's the pic and not the paint.

I like the subdued tones. It gives a realistic look to this mini, which is fitting for the sculpt.

Coon Rapids is up near the cities right?

Coon Rapids is about 30 mins north of Minneapolis. The wonderful North Burbs. lol
