The paint jon is very tidy. Did the vote thing. I would probably try some freehand on the cloaks next time even a line at the hem can make a difference.

It\'s funny you mention freehand, Ogrebane! I was going to try that and had even picked out some runic style symbols to put on her cloak, and forgot all about it!

I will definitely have to snag Pat to pick his brain on freehand work for next time. I don\'t know how well it\'ll come out, but I would like to give it a try.

nice work.

a little tip for the free hand, draw it on a piece of paper first and then paint over it.

this will let you get used to the control you need and fine movements of the brush that more experienced painters use without realizing it.

keep these patterns next to your painting area so you can see them easily and this will make it much easier for reference as well.
