I\'ve come back to painting minis and I\'m hoping that over the next year I can get my standard of painting up to a sellable (is that a real word btw? sellable..saleable..salable..) standard.
I can paint okay already but I still have a lot of learning to do before I can declare myself to be an \"expert\" painter and trade on eBay.
What kind of minis are the hottest sellers? ???
I know the serious professionals have people queuing up begging for their minis but most painters who are merely \"very good\" seem to be averaging £6 an hour ($12) which is probably the same amount that self-professed \"pro-painters\" who only paint to regular table-top standard are making - less work for the same money.
If I were to paint up a dozen minis to a high standard which ones should I buy? Should I buy old/vintage used minis on eBay (there are thousands of cheap old minis around) or
buy brand new latest releases?
Also, how to I go about selling non-Games Workshop minis? Every kid and teenager automatically looks for Warhammer/GW minis and most of them are probably unaware of other manufacturers - some of whom produce better stuff than GW.
Don\'t forget that I\'m in the UK so CMON may not be the most practical place to sell due to postage costs - not to mention the fierce competition and hard to please buyers!
