Interested in shops in the Redmond area?
Hi, Kathryn here. I live in the Seattle/Bellevue area. The shops I frequent include the Games Workshop in the Factoria area and there is also one in the Lynnwood area, ...a bit more of a drive. Both, however, are GW-disabled (translation - they sell only GW items, which is fine if you only want GW items, but is otherwise a dumb marketing strategy IMO because it just forces hobbiests to find other stores---which they might decide they ultimately like better---to find the rest of the things they need). Anywho, there are also several hobby shops, not strictly devoted to GW products in the Redmond area (as you know, close to Kirkland/Bellevue). ..... I could look their names up. One is, or was, named Cayote Games, but I believe they changed their name. They are VERY friendly and helpful and have Reaper Models and GW models, vallejo paints. They know me as \"Kathryn\" the customer who buys alot, but not as \"the Queen of Credits\". Then there is another place in Redmond I go frequently due to their huge arrray of things to choose from. They do not know me as the Queen of Credits or would probably remember my name, but if you ask them about the woman who came in with the MONSTROUS Eldar army that one time with no clue on how to play 40K or what units or characters were needed---so she just brought EVERYTHING, LOL, they may remember \"that woman\". I will have to look up the exact name of that shop. I think it is something like \"Genesis Games something or another\". It is a pun of the former name of the store when it went out of business and then was reborn with a new ownership, ....like using the Genesis device from the Star Trek movie \"The Wrath of Khan\" where you take a planet, completely \"re-format\" it, and end up with an Eden. If you aren\'t sure which shop that is, I will look up the name. I just don\'t have it on the tip of my tongue this morning. I also frequent HobbyTown USA in Redmond for essentials like thin balsa wood strips, zappa gap, paint jars, and microscopic strands of sturdy wire. Hope that is helpful.
