Sculpting a larger scale high elf spearman.

Since griffon is ready, I need something new to do. I still feel more like sculpting than painting, so I have started to construct this larger scale high elf spearman. I cannot say what scale it is exactly, but it is about the length of my index finger.

This is my first time using super sculpey firm. So far I like it, but I need some more training with it. This project should provide that.

Other parts (than gray) are mix of milliputty and greenstuff.

The white rag is going to become somekind of a fur. Even though this one is not a white lion, it is still from chrace.

I am now sculpting scale mail for the dress. I will be doing that for some time. However, sculpting just endless amounts of scalemail is boring, so I started the shield too.

The shield will have a lions head, much like these:

Love it! This is going to look absolutely fantastic when it's done! Really loving the natural flow and positioning of everything so far, seriously nice work man.

I cannot believe how productive I am with this one! I have gotten 2/3 of the scale mail done. At this point, I don't even hate scalemail yet. Weird.

You might wonder what that reddish brown stuff is. Well that is real live rust. At some point I stored the torso in a metal box, that got wet, and rusted out a little bit.

The shield is pretty much ready. Some small improvements and fixes are propably going to be done, but no radical changes.

Ahhh loving it! Really like that shield! I'm surprised you're not sick of doing that scale yet though haha.

Just now saw this one. Very very cool indeed! I'm loving all of it. Especially the scales on the skirt and the shield. Definately gonna be watching this one!
On a side note, it's also fantastic to finally find a place where people are doing larger scale spin offs of some great mini's. Mini's are great, but I say the bigger the better!!!!

Well, I think sculpting is done now. I will start painting this right away. I am just not sure if I should use NMM or not.

im a metallics fan. besides, i dont think nmm works as well on large figs.
