Well, I'm a little behind but never having done this before I'll work to catch up and any feedback is welcome.

Here's the built armiture with first bits of clay. Seeing the need for something to compare measurements with...a compass I can lock in place or something or compare ratios on a anatomical drawing.

blurry phone pics and all, but just hoping for proportions to be close enough to start. Also, I know the stalk for the head is way short...should I glue in another length or is it enough to build off of?

Great stuff dude! The surface seems smooth, though it's hard to be sure with the photography, sorry. My suggestion would be to have a look at sloping the shoulders a bit - this will show the movement in the mini. The neck isn't necessarily too short, just add a bit of extra wire if you need it when you bulk out the head :)

Great to see you kicking off!

Did half a step of the fleshing out, so I'm only like what? 2 and a half steps behind now? Yeah, that's par for the course :) Had fun though. C&C needed
Again, camera phone pics...I know but hopefully better than nothing until I get around to changing regular camera batteries.

Yup, great looking legs, they'll be perfect, although you may have to lift him up a bit to fit the feet in while keeping the shins the right length (I have to do that with at least 50% of my sculpts). The torso looks thin enough to fit any detail you want over it. That's cool. The putty is smooth, the proportions are excellent... Nice

Great stuff! Now, next step ;)
