What a glorious advert. Though now I shan't be able to see those paintings without the "extras" in mind.

Cool ad! I was checking one out at the store the other day and it was actually much less impressive than this ad. Can't recall if it was Samsung or Sony, but I was underwhelmed. Also I think the thing going against this is the same thing I feel at the theater. It's cool for the first five minutes, then you just get de-sensitized to it. Like watching a subtitled movie, you forget you're reading anything and it just becomes a movie. That's probably a good thing but I find the whole 3-D experience a little "meh.".

Still, super cool ad!

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!!!!!!! That is TOO funny!!

I have looked at some of the 3d tv's and while they are fairly cool, the 3d works well, 4000 clams is quite a dent.

the one "problem" with this things is the glasses. 200+ bucks a pair! and I think of all the pairs of reading glasses that go 'missing' in this house. Not to mention the remotes.....

I even heard now that there are health warnings issued with the glasses from the companies.
Children under six should not used the glasses and for adults not for prolonged usage.
The glasses flicker, so one eye sees the image while the other will not see anything and vise versa. So each eye will see separate
images and your brain will take the visual input together and forms a 3D image in our brain.
This flickering can cause motion sickness and other problems.
I'll wait till all the hub bub washes over and then decide.
