sacarius- Complete with base!

Well, I bought sacarius yesterday and have been working on it for about 7 hours already. I\'m trying to keep everything neat but making it look good aswell. I\'m doing a section at a time, a leg, a leg, an arm etc.

Well, anyway the pics:

I was thinking of mixing pva, regal blue and a lot of water and then washign that over the armour and then rehighlighting it, would this be a good idea?

Hey there nice work so far. There is a new forum set up for WIP posts.

As to your wash; why PVA? A wash will help even out your layers and yes a highlight after that.

I really like this mini, and I especially love the way you have painted your blues, The darker tones rock!

Great positioning on the claw too, much more dynamic than the studio version.

Looking good. The highlights on the arm don\'t seem to be as bright as on the legs which looks a bit strange.

Ok this is just my opinion but the face is too dark at the moment. I belive that you\'ll need to work on the overall facial colour balance.
As a suggestion the colour of the highlights on the face, you could use as the dark tones of the facial structure. You\'ll need to give the darker areas a couple of thin coats to match out the colours but work with thin paints and it\'ll come together.

It\'s a multipart model, yes, others like the dark skin, I\'ll wait till I\'ve done, maybe it\'ll look better without it being surrounded by black.

@cadian The left lightning claw..........Any other than that it\'s down to converting quite heavily.....oh the banner is seperate too...Just got mine and will maybe post progress on this thread (If Matt doesn\'t mind..) or would that be rude...
Anyway Matt Agree with Dragonsreach\'s advice on the flesh...
Looking good so Far a bit of a thinned glaze may help tie some ofhe highlights on the armour together......

Great minature love the blue, i like paiting blues aswell, is that a regal blue undercoat with enchanted ble highlights?

Nope, regla up to ultramarine, adding in white for highlights.

Ok, nearly finished minus the base.

I hope you like the banner, it was as adventourous as I felt I could manage.

Anyway, pics:

Now to choose what to do with it, I think it may go into gd, but i\'m not sure, or I could find a use for it in my army, but being ultramarine I don\'t think I can.

I\'ve just finished the base and I think hes all complete now, although I need to cover up a small chip in his leg as you can see but I don\'t think thats worthy of a new photo.
