Rules app

Hi people
I have started working on a rules app for Rivet Wars.
The idea is to list up all the rules and unit cards. When all that is done I'll add all the scenarios, and maybe even try to implement a map builder of some sort. Need to see if I can manage it.

I'm trying out a new framework, so it will hopefully be available for Android, Iphone, and Windows Phone. The app is going to be free to download and with no ads.

I'll post some images when I get something to show and to keep you people up to date.

Let me know if you have any questions or tips to how it should function, or stuff I should put into it.

PM Ted. There has been talk that a large-scale Rivet App has been in the works for some time.

That sounds like a good idea, plus it is super easy to implement

comedianmasta: I've been in contact with Ted, and as far as I know there are no plan for it now, plus, there is always room for more apps
But, I think that Rivet Wars would work pretty well as a computer game.

Sounds great, then go for it (I see Ted's Comment).

And I have been thinking the same thing. I was considering giving the idea over to my students for their senior projects and making a Rivet Wars Flash game. Quick and easy way to test out strategies, make maps, and see how the game can work even faster. However, the video game would be missing all the amazing minis we all have come to love.

I've also been thinking about making a game, as all the sprites are available. It could be a fun little weekend project to see if I could get some action going. I was thinking about writing it in Lua with Löve2D, as it is a quick and stronge language.

Finally got something working. It's hard to learn a new framework, but at least there is some progress.
Not sure how the design should be, so I'm starting of just using a bunch of lists, in lists. Keeping it simple.

Any updates on how your app project is going? I've tried searching for Rivet Wars on the App Store but unfortunately nothing yet.

Sorry, no update. I had some trouble learning/using the new framework. So I kinda lost interest and abandoned the project :\
I might give it another go later this fall, but I'm quite busy untill October.
