Rule Questions

There is a card by the name of "Amulet of Retribution" which states: "Each hit cancelled by this Hero's Defense roll deals 1 Wound to the attacker." There was a debate over whether RANGED attacks would be affected by this, since it's a "ranged" attack and there would be no logic for a ranged attacker to be dealt damage.

It was also asked if it was treated as a form of "retribution" like how the monsters attack you back for the "payback reaction."

If it doesn't specify Melee, I would assume Ranged as well.

I don't understand the second question.

Edit: I get it now. It's not an attack, so no retribution.

In terms of logic, Arcadia is a world of magic and amulets are generally infused with magic. So to me, it's quite logical that an arrow flying at your could be magically redirected back at you. Same goes for magic attacks. Ever seen or read Harry Potter? The wizard duels often include blocking and redirecting spells.

Yep, if you want to avoid that amulet, you are going to have to daze 'em or find a way around the armor. The bows at that level have the "only bursts" block language that would be useful.
