Rule questions introduced with new Martell faction

Hi,
Since we started playing around with the new faction, a few questions have come up with the new interactions. I wanted to make a post with some of them, in case developers see this and would be able to respond:

1. Winter Gardens interaction with cards that grant zone control effects like Petyr or Joffrey - would opponent controlling Winter Gardens override Petyr's once a game ability to control a zone, or Joffrey's ability to always control crowns?

2. If Petyr's once a game ability is declared to control Winter Gardens for the round, does it automatically activate WG effect that opponents don't count as controlling zones?

3. Sand Diplomacy says that NCUs lose abilities when claiming a zone. How does it interact with abilities or those NCUs that trigger on claiming a zone (For example, Petyr's zone replace effect, or Ellaria Sand? According to timing rules, it seems like active player can choose to activate NCU ability first and only then resolve zone effect which would blank the NCU, but that's probably not intended

I'm sure there will be more questions for the new interactions, but that is what has come up so far.

I'm sure there will be more questions for the new interactions, but that is what has come up so far.

1. The wording is pretty specific: once the Water garden is controlled, it doesn't matter where that control comes from (Joffrey or littlefinger's effect, or simply having an NCU on the actual zone). The opponent doesn't count as controlling zones for abilities or tactics cards. So, Joffrey says you control the crown, great, you control it, but none of the abilities (Lannister supremacy, etc) or tactics cards (fealty to the crown, etc) that benefit from you controlling it , get the effect of you controlling it anymore. According to the wording, you're not ACTUALLY losing control of the zone, it's just abilities and tactics no longer benefit from it.

2. Yes, because that part of the text is separate and indicates that it is active "when you control this zone" however, he did not CLAIM the zone so he would not gain the benefit of forcing your opponent to use a combat unit in their next activation. Also, in this case, it is interesting to note both players could control the water gardens, as it states you only don't count as controlling them for tactics or abilities, in which case neither player would benefit from control of any zone (and Nymeria's influence would finally be ineffective....)

3. The instant you claim one of those zones, it is now as though the NCU that claimed it has a blank card with no text on it. So, yes, you can choose which order to resolve, the zone ability you just claimed, or, your blank card. Activating the zone ability isn't what takes away your NCU's abilities, the act of claiming the zone is, which happens first.
