I was wondering if anyone could give me a little bit of help,
I am trying to figure out how to custom the tail on the rippers, since I am looking at having 40+ bases minimum, I don\'t want to look at all the same little guys, Drive me nuts it would mmmm!

get some ripper jacks and throw some of them in.. also try changing up the base itselfe instead of the rippers!

Well I have the rippers already, and I was going to change up the base, I was considering a urban layout, and having a ripper (or 20) partially wrapped around a pole or piping, which would require the tail modifications,
Hence the quandry

Maybe try varying the paint scheme slightly, some lighter some darker. I think this would work well as long as you keep the colors the same. The urban layout sounds like it would be pretty good for variation. Are you gonna do a ruined urban style or still clean and what not?

Well I was going to have slight variences, as well as trying some source lighting

I was thinking of for some of them using bases like the ones that I saw from epicast.com, as well as making some bases on my own with some urban wreckage, I was thinking of maybe even having something like a auspex for source lighting
But I just didn\'t want to have the entire army blah, and I know I would probably get sick and tired of seeing the same bases over and over,
Which is why I was also considering having some of them crawling out from under manhole covers, as well as from sewer grates and maybe even broken piping

urban? if your doing urban you may wish to abandon ur current red scheme and go for something more concrete like.... mayb greyish skin with space wolves style carapace give it a city like feel kinna like how i painted my bugs to a jungle like paint scheme... the way i see it is this... the bugs are conquesting and have adapted to combat situation by colour change into the surrounding areas... IE jungle would be greens and browns like mine... kinn the same way as a soldier would wear green camo in a jungle and change into urban camo for a city and artic for snowy areas the broods adapt their colours for their situations!

Any solid ideas on a color scheme, I am attrocious when it comes to schemes,
Though I don\'t think that they would look all that bad, I know that storyline wise it wouldn\'t be that solid, but, if they are just coming into the city, maybe allowable, since they are just entering the new environment,?

what was the old enviroment they were in? mayb half and half to show them adapting say it was jungle - urban..... green skin blended to grey then for carapace brown blended - space wolves grey or something like that..
