Revenge of the Choir

My Menites faced off against a friend\'s Khador last night in a 750 point battle. I put the Harbinger in a somewhat bad position, and his Man o\' War Drakhun got a charge off on her. (Crud! I forgot to make him take a command check to charge her!)

Anyway, her pet Devout did a bunch of damage to the Drakhun with defensive strike, knocking him off his horse, but he still pounded her into blood paste. For some reason, my opponent wanted to keep playing; we had a lot of infantry on the board, and I suppose he wanted to kill more stuff. I knew it was as good as over for me, so I charged his Drakhun with my 4 model Choir of Menoth the next turn... and they killed him! The Choir then went on to kill 2 of 3 models in a Man o\' War Demolition Squad before the third one played Choir-head croquet. The only explanation is that they were filled with righteous fury at seeing their beloved Harbinger killed.

And for future reference, be careful of the MoWD\'s \"counter-charge\" power. He can make a charge against any enemy that ends its movement within 6\" of him, pulling him forward and into position to charge something of yours, oh let\'s just say your Harbinger hypothetically.

I may have lost, but my opponent now fears the Choir!

ah what a game WM is.

I play Menoth too and played a game vs Khador today against a Japanese \"Veteran\".. The Japanese dudes don\'t grasp the \'balls to wall\' action of WM I don\'t think and I rolled his Vlad over with basic Kreoss Drop n Pop then Feora engine of SPRAY hardcoreness.

I\'ve never faced the Drakhun but that thing is scary. MoW too can be a pain in the ass but generally either send Zealots or Solos (Vilmon or Senny) after him.

Choir RULE once they\'re jackless... 2 inch reach makes all the diff! Once I actually had Rhupert out of position and used them with Dirge of Mist to scare the crap out of things... I can\'t imagine anything running away from a bunch of \'choir boys\' so the imagery was pretty damn funny!

Side Story:

My Seneschal is going to receive a very poor annual review. For the past three games I have put him in position to deal a crucial chain attack slam again a jack to set up a caster knock down, and he proceeds to whiff one of the attacks. Three games!!!

Isn\'t it always the case? It\'s the same for Pistol Wraiths too.. My Castigator always misses one attack too! Grr.

My choir is feared at my LGS.
They take their name from Kill Bill.
They\'re \'The Deadly Choir Assassination Squad\'.

In the year I\'ve been playing, they\'ve racked up an impressive 9 caster kills.

They\'ve also saved me from thorough humiliation in several scenario games,
by killing more than 10 times their point value, because they weren\'t regarded
as a threat.

Silly opponents.

Everything is a threat.
