Reputation, points and rewards.

Three things I have searched high and low for. I have found no information on what "reputation" is on the forums. Is it good or bad? I found a few threads on Points and Rewards, but none of them actually explained what they are for and all the threads are old and end with "in the future..."

by reputation you mean rep-power?
as I noticed: mostly you get it if someone asks something and he/she finds your reply useful and presses the "add to rep" (litte starlike thing under the post) button.

I think it shows how helpful someone is or how useful/reliable answers the user can give.

I've got the same question, what's the use of points and rewards?
Can we trade them for something like special avatar pic?

Well as far as I'm concerned, they're just a means of showing appretiation for comments in a thread.
