Has anyone tried repainting the plastic D&D Miniatures from the collectable game?

Not sure how good the details would be with that rubbery material.

If so did you paint right over, prime them or do something else to prepare them?

haven\'t actually done it, but the guy who works the cash box at my comic shop claims if you primer them in GW\'s \"smelly primer\" that you can paint them up real nice and put a hard clear coat on them, then cover that with testors dull coat... i plan on doing it with the rogue assassin, if i can get my hands on him;)

if they are anything like WizKids Mage KNight minis then you can just paint right over them. heck the MAge KNights ones let go of paint with minor dipping in rubbing alcohol, and left just whiteish clear plastic behind.

I\'ve repainted a few WotC prepainted Star Wars figures, including minor conversions. I haven\'t had any problems with paint flaking off or anything.

I dip them in an acetone bath and scrub them with an old toothbrush to get the old paint off. I wouldn\'t recommend leaving them in the acetone for too long as the figure starts to soften a little, but for 30 seconds or so it\'s okay. Try it with a common figure first just in case.

I prime white with a spray primer, and I don\'t have any problems. Obviously, I don\'t throw the figures into a cardboard box after repainting them, but treat them like any metal figure.
